Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

We all have heard the saying, “Pride goes before a fall.”  The Lord teaches us in Philippians 2:3 to do nothing out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than ourselves.

This is the attitude we should always have.  We should never consider ourselves above others, for God created us all equal.  It is up to God to exalt us if He wishes, not for us to exalt ourselves.  Dear Heavenly Father, give me today a spirit of humility, always to know my place before You.  Keep me humble, oh Lord, so all honor and glory will go to You!  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen. 

Psalm 25: 8-9.  “Good and upright is the Lord, who shows sinners the way, guides the humble rightly, and teaches the humble the way.”
