Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

Christ gave power and authority to the Apostles to heal the sick, cast out demons, and cure diseases in His name.  The name of Jesus is our power and authority.  Luke chapter 10 says Jesus gave us the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions (demons and evil spirits).  We have that same power as the disciples did, handed down to us from God.  We need to remember that the one who is in us (Jesus) is greater than he who is in the world (Satan).  The key here is to pray in the name of Jesus.  Heavenly Father, we come before you to praise and thank you for making provision for us in every way.  Thank you for the power and authority handed down to us from the Apostles.  Please help us to make use of that power and authority for the good of all mankind.  In Jesus name, we pray.  Amen.  Matthew 10:8: “Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons.  Without cost, you have received; without cost, you are to give.
