The Bible says Godly sorrow produces repentance without regret. It’s challenging but necessary to confess our sins before the Lord. True repentance involves a change or conversion in our minds and actions and a genuine sorrow for our sins. As a Catholic, I can tell you I’m scared to go to confession. It’s a humbling experience to acknowledge that I have failed and sinned against God. After confession, I feel true joy. A burden has been lifted from my soul, and I am once again free. It’s a glorious feeling. The grace we receive from confessing our sins helps us resist temptation and grow virtuously. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of confession and reconciliation. Please help me to change and grow in Your love. Be with me always and guide me into the life you have for me. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen. Romans 2: 5-6. “By your stubbornness and impenitent heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself for the day of wrath and revelation of the just judgment of God.”
