Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

Standing for your beliefs takes great courage when the world is against you.  Yet God continually asks us to stand firm amid adversity, just as young David did when he met Goliath.  David knew God was with him.  He was bold and brave.  He believed God would give him victory over the giant.  I long for that courage.  Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask you to provide me with David’s courage.  Keep me steadfast when trouble finds me.  Create in me a clean heart as David’s.  Help me always to stand firm against the devil and his minions.  Amen.  Deuteronomy 31:6. “Be brave and steadfast; have no fear or dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who marches with you; he will never fail you or forsake you.  Do not fear or be dismayed.”
