Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

War looms on the horizon.  Violence is rampant in our cities.  Evil is all around.  Yet, I will not give in to fear.  I will stand steadfast in my faith and trust in the Lord.  I know that my God in heaven controls everything.  What is Fear?  One of today’s prophets, Julie Green, describes fear as False Evidence Appearing Real.  Fear is of the devil, not from God.  Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus Christ’s name, help me remain steadfast in times of suffering and doubt.  Help me keep my eyes focused only on you, Lord, and not on what is happening worldwide, for you are my rock and my fortress, an ever-present help in times of trouble.  Amen.  2 Timothy 1:7: “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power, love and self-control.”
