Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

In the days before Christ came to earth, God sent His prophets to warn His people of impending doom if they didn’t stop their evil behaviors.  Think of Noah and the great flood.  Many people scoffed at the prophets and didn’t believe them.  They met their doom because of it.  After Christ, the apostles, baptized with the Holy Spirit, spoke the words of God.  God has always given His people the News before the News.  God has always warned them to turn away from sin and repent.  Even today, the Bible tells us what is coming in the last days.  God is warning us to be penitent for our wrongdoings.  Today, we also have prophets.  Do we listen to them?  They are God’s messengers.  There surely are false prophets among us, but remember, God’s people hear and know His voice.  Wake up, people of this world.  Take off the blinders and see what is happening in our nation and worldwide.  Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, I beg you to open the hearts and minds of your people.  Help us to see and hear the truth.  Be with us Oh Lord, give us wisdom and discernment to know the truth.  Forgive us our sins, and help your people turn from their wicked ways and repent.  Amen.   Acts 2: 17-18. “It will come to pass in the last days, God says, that I will pour out a portion of my spirit upon all flesh.  Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.  Indeed, I will pour out a portion of my spirit upon my servants and my handmaids in those days, and they shall prophesy.”
