Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

In the Old Testament, the Lord our God brought His wrath down on His people countless times.  After all God had done for them, they still built idols and worshiped them instead of Almighty God.  This was a great offense against God.  They were indeed a stubborn and stiff-necked people who refused to obey the Lord.  God tells us the road to heaven is narrow.  Not everyone who says “Lord, Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of God.  Dear Heavenly Father, keep me always on the narrow path.  Keep me strong to avoid the temptations of the devil.  Help me to keep focused on you, oh Lord, and to listen to the Holy Spirit.  Thank you, in Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.  Matthew 7:13-14. “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.  How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life and those who find it are few.”
