As a child,I looked to the skies in wonder. I knew God was up there somewhere and that He loved me. As a young adult, my mind started having doubts about God. I asked myself, ‘Is there a God? Is it true? Or is it just a scam?’ It is the father of lies (Satan) who puts those thoughts in our minds. Just as he did to Eve in deceiving her about eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge, telling her God knew perfectly well she would certainly not die, but her eyes would be opened, and she would be like a god who knew what is good and bad. All the blame, however, cannot be placed on Satan. We must take responsibility for ourselves, for doubt destroys life. Dear Heavenly Father, I ask You to forgive me for any doubts I’ve had or will ever have. Give us the faith to trust You even when it seems illogical. You have said, Lord, if we doubt while we are asking, we will not receive anything from You because we will be considered unstable. Help me to always believe and trust in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. James 1: 6, “He who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”
