Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

I prayed as my church and catechism teachers taught me for much of my younger life.  I often said the same words every night without thinking much about them.    I joined a non-denominational Bible study in my hometown in my late twenties.  There, everyone prayed aloud.  I was astonished, but I practiced that method, so it became second nature to me.  I now talk to God many times daily, both silently and aloud. The Bible says to pray without ceasing.  It also says to go into a room, close the door, and pray to our unseen Father.  The Lord has answered my prayers countless times, and I look forward to His continued blessings.  What an Awesome God we have!  Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for all the answered prayers throughout my life.  Teach me to pray unceasingly.  Help me in my prayers to know what is truly important.  In Jesus’ name, I pray!  Amen.  James 5:16. “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.  The fervent prayer of a righteous man is very powerful.”
