Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

God is described by various names in the Bible, showing us God’s character and the ways He helps us.  The first name given to God is El Elyon, or Elohim, the Most High God, found in Genesis 1:1.  Other names include Yahweh, which is the proper name of God, Lord and Master, El Roi, the God who sees me, and El Shaddai, which means Lord God Almighty, our provider and sustainer.  Other names are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord will provide, and Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals us, and many more.  I have found this to be very interesting and informative.  Blessed be God for being our everything.  Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for being our ALL.  Everything we need.  Thank you for your power and authority over this world.  Help us to see You as our everything and to know that You are always there for us.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.  Exodus 15:26: “If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, and will listen and obey His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon you which I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord who heals you.”
