Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

It is hard for me to be always upbeat.  The devil uses discouragement against me almost continually.  I must fight to be positive on some days and not give in to self-pity and discouragement.  I have suffered from depression and anxiety for most of my adult life.  My medication keeps me on an even keel until something negative happens.  That is the time I need God the most.  I need his strength to carry on.  Isaiah 40:31 tells us that testing our faith produces perseverance.  Isaiah 40:29 says that God gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Oh, how I need that.  We all do!  Dear Heavenly Father, give me the strength to face life’s challenges.  Guide me in making the right decisions and help me stay on the righteous path you have intended for me.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.  Joshua 1:9: “Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord Your God will be with you wherever you go.”
