Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

What is morality?  One definition is that moral values pave the path for all our decisions in life.  Without these values, children do not have guidance and direction.  Another definition is the principles concerning what is right or wrong, what is good behavior, and what is bad behavior.  Also, humans attempt to define what is right and wrong in thought and behavior.  How do we know what is morally right and what is morally wrong?  In Jeremiah, chapter thirty-one, God says, ‘This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel.  I will put My law within them, and on their hearts, I will write it, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.’   So, God put values and morals in our hearts and minds inside us.  Therefore, we should have no excuse for not knowing what is right and wrong.  It is the enemy (Satan and his minions) who tempt us away from these values.  Don’t let him win!  We must stand our ground and say, Satan be gone, and he will flee from us.  Dear Heavenly Father, always be with me, helping me be true to You and Your values.  Create in me a clean heart, oh Lord.  Place people in my life that will guide and help me.  In Jesus name, I pray.  Amen.  1 Corinthians 15:33: “Do not be so deceived and misled!  Evil companionships corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.”
