Today, Boldness!

God calls us to be bold in our Christian walk.  We must be fearless and bold in approaching God, stepping out in faith, and trusting Him to lead us.  Christ’s disciples had to be bold, through the power of the  Holy Spirit, to do and complete the work that was assigned to them.  Other examples are Mary, the Mother of Jesus.  Mary did not understand all that God was asking of her when the angel proclaimed she would be the Mother of Jesus.  She willingly stepped out in boldness to serve God and follow His plan for her life.  There would have been whispers about her being pregnant before being married, but Mary still chose to follow God.  Another example was Queen Esther.  Knowing there would be consequences when, she approached King Xerxes, asking for the King to spare the lives of the Jews and exposing the treacherous Haman.  Let us, then, boldly proclaim the Good News of the Gospel.  Remember, God will always be there with us as He has promised us in His Word.  Dear Heavenly Father, we praise You and thank You for your guidance in our lives.  Teach us to be bold servants to better serve You.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.  Proverbs 28:1: “The wicked flee when no man pursues them, but the righteous are bold as a lion.”
