This is Good Friday, the day we commemorate the death of Jesus on the cross. It is a solemn day when we acknowledge that Jesus paid the price for us, for our salvation. I cannot fathom the pain and suffering He went through. The mocking, the crown of thorns placed on His head that dug deep into his skull. The scourging at the pillar, where He lost so much blood. Then, He had to carry that heavy wooden cross to Calvary so they could crucify Him. Oh, my Savior, You endured torture and unsympathetic pain so we could gain eternal life. This was the greatest sacrifice of all! Dear Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, I thank you for loving us so much and sacrificing Your Son for our salvation. Keep us humble today and help us to keep our thoughts on You. All glory and honor are Yours, Lord, forever and ever. John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
