Today, Distractions!

Distractions are one of Satan’s dirty tricks. If we are constantly distracted by the noise of the world, it will keep us from hearing God’s voice. If Satan can’t destroy us, he will distract us. He loves to pull us away from what we intended to do. We are unable to focus. Confusion sets in. Our minds are perturbed.  Sometimes, we think we are going crazy.  One way to keep ourselves from distractions is to seek God first thing in the morning.  Choose a focus for the day.  Be intentional with your time.  Read the Bible every day.  Pray to God to help you keep your focus.  It takes the power of God to stay focused (Acts 1:8).  Distractions fill us with doubt and worry.  They keep us focused on ourselves and steer us away from walking in our purpose.  Dear Heavenly Father, we praise You and thank You for Your constant encouragement in Your Word.  Keep us focused on You, Lord, and not what’s in the world.  You are with us always; please keep us from temptation’s door.  In Jesus’ name, we pray.  Amen.  Mark 4:19: “But all too quickly the attractions of this world and the delights of wealth, and the search for success and the lure of nice things come in and crowd out God’s message from their hearts, so that no crop is produced.”
