Many Christians today live in the gray zone. They are lukewarm Christians—not hot or cold. Their passion to know Christ has waned and they no longer make an effort to grow spiritually. Perhaps they feel distant from God and have fallen away from healthy Christian habits. Whatever the reason, being lukewarm is not a good place to be. God loves us far more than we can imagine. He wants everyone to know Him and establish a relationship with Him. Some questions we can ask ourselves are: Is God first in my life? Am I trying to please God for other people? Do I accept all of God’s word or just parts of it? How often do I read and study the Bible? Dear Heavenly Father, we praise and thank You for Your love, grace, and mercy toward us. Thank You for being our refuge, our safe place. Help us all to know You more fully and to desire to know You wholly. Give back to us that passion we once had for Your word and never permit us to be lukewarm again. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen! Revelation 3:15-16. “I know your works; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.”
