Today, True Grit!

I snuggled under my couch blanket on Saturday night, trying to find a good movie to watch.  I happened upon Tyson’s Run.  This movie was very loosely inspired by a true story, but not based on one.  Tyson was a 15-year-old autistic high-functioning boy who wanted to run in a 26-mile marathon to make his father proud of him.  This is a story of courage, determination, fortitude, and endurance.  I loved this movie and wanted to shout YES, YES at the end.  I encourage everyone to watch this movie and to be inspired.  Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the writers, directors, producers, and cast of Tyson’s Run.  Thank you that they had the courage to produce a heartwarming family film with no killing.  More movies of this type are needed today.  Thank you, also for the message it brought to my heart.  Encourage filmmakers to produce more of these stories.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen!  2 Timothy 1:7: “For the Spirit of God does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
