Today, Rejection!

Many times, in my life, I have felt the sting of rejection, sometimes from my own family, sometimes from friends, and sometimes from co-workers.  It hurt deeply and made me doubt myself.  Even Jesus suffered from rejection.  His own people, the Jews, rejected Him in His hometown of Nazareth.  Peter denied Jesus three times after He was arrested.  Judas, who loved Jesus once, betrayed Him.  How, then, are we supposed to deal with rejection?  First, get on your knees and turn to God.  Ask God to reveal anything that might be yours to own.  Acknowledge and repent for your part in the problem or rejection.  Then forgive quickly before bitterness takes root.  Take the high road, extend grace to that person, and seek peace and reconciliation if possible.  Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your son, Jesus, as an example of rejection and a role model of how we should deal with it.  Thank You for your mercy and grace.  Help us always show love to others.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.  Romans 3:23-24. “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.  Yet God, in His grace, freely makes us right in His sight.  He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty of our sins.”
