Today, I Can!

I watched another great movie, “I Can,” last night. I subscribed to the UP Faith & Family channel and am quite impressed with its offerings.  This is the story of two adulterous adults who had an affair and got pregnant.  Both leave their spouses and start their new lives together.  Their daughter is born with a deformity.  She only has one fully formed arm, and yet she conquers all odds and becomes a tremendous softball player.  In her high school junior year, she suffers a knee injury which takes her out of softball for the remainder of the year.  After surgery, while recovering, she becomes depressed and despondent.  Her father is sure that God is punishing him and has been since Katelyn’s birth for his and his wife’s affair.  He is sure another tragedy is right around the corner.  Watch and see how God leads this family to love and forgiveness.  It is based on a true story.  Dear Heavenly Father, thank You, again, for such great inspirational movies.  Please bless the actors, producers, and directors of this film and lead them to produce more of these movies.  Thank you, Lord, for giving me the joy of watching it.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.  Psalm 34: 17-19.  “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.  The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.  Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”
