Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

What does God say about having a purpose in our lives? According to Pastor Rick Warren’s book A Purpose-Driven Life, God created us for His own glory and to center our lives around Him. He created us for worship, fellowship, cultivating spiritual maturity, ministry—giving back to others—and witnessing.  We all need a purpose in life, a reason to get up in the morning.  Without a purpose, we feel lost, unneeded, and unimportant.  God created us to work as Adam & Eve did in the Garden of Eden.  A director once told me to hold my head high and to dress and walk with a purpose.  It made a great difference in my attitude.  Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me life and a relationship with You.  Thank You for your continuous guidance and discipline in my life.  Help all people know their purpose in life and seek You and know You.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.  Psalm 57:2: “I will cry to God Most High, Who performs on my behalf and rewards me. {Who brings to pass His purposes for me and surely completes them}.
