Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

What is Faith? It can be described as the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.  To me, faith is an unwavering trust in God.  The Bible says in Hebrews 11:1, “Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”  Mark 11:24, “Therefore, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”  Sometimes, I think our problem is that in praying, we hope God hears and will act according to our wishes.  But do we really believe that God will hear and answer our prayers? 

We need to pray with confidence and trust that God will hear and answer our prayers.  We should expect it.  Then, before it ever happens, proclaim your thankfulness to God for answering your prayers.  Thank you, Lord, for giving us faith in You.  Increase our wisdom and faith daily.  Matthew 17:20: “I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.  Nothing will be impossible for you.”
