Pondering Thoughts of My Soul

Daily, we are in a spiritual war with the enemy.  Satan prowls around, tempting us to sin.  He is delighted when we do sin.  How do we fight this unseen enemy?  The Bible says to put on the whole armor of God each morning.  This consists of Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Faith, Salvation, and God’s word.  Be ready for battle every morning.  Heavenly Father, please help us to stand firm against the enemy.  Help us prepare for battle each morning so we may learn to live according to Your will.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.

Ephesians 6:11-17: “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the devil’s wiles. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness in this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  This battle is not with humans but is the daily battle between the forces of good and evil.  Put on the belt of Truth. Clothe yourselves with the breastplate of Righteousness, and have your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of Peace.  Put on Faith as your shield, the helmet of Salvation, and with the sword of the Spirit (God’s word).”
