Today, I Have a DREAM!

I have been an avid reader all my life, starting with the Bobbsey Twins books and then the Nancy Drew mysteries. I loved those books.  They took me out of my own world and into someone else’s world.  My dream since my teen years has been to write a book.  FEAR has always kept me from trying.  Fear of rejection, fear of failure, and fear of making myself look foolish.  But what was God’s plan for me?  I struggled with my purpose for years, not knowing what God had for me.  Last year, I got together with about thirty other people in my church to discern if or what my charism[s] might be.  I prayed about joining this group for six weeks, and finally, the Holy Spirit prompted me to sign up.  A charism is a gift of the Holy Spirit we receive at baptism and/or confirmation.  I took an inventory questionnaire and discovered what my charisms might be.  One of my top six was writing.  I knew in my spirit that was what God was leading me toward.  But how do I begin?  The group suggested I start a blog. I knew, of course, that it would be of biblical and spiritual contemplation.  My lifelong dream of writing has come true: writing what God wants me to write.  I am forever grateful.  Writing makes me happy, and God promises us that ‘if we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our hearts.’  Dear Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You for fulfilling my dreams.  You alone, Lord, are the Most-High God, the creator of all things good.  Thank you for bringing me into Your kingdom.  In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.  Matthew 6:3: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
